New York: Where To Eat

Wednesday 16 August 2017

Even though New York is far from short of good cafes and restaurants, it can be really hard to actually decide where to eat when there is so much to choose from.

For this reason, I thought I would share some of the places I ate when I was in the city. Most of these suggestions are located in Williamsburg, as that is where I was staying. It is an area famed for good food so it is well worth crossing the bridge for!

  • The Meatball Shop - There are a few of these dotted throughout New York. They serve all kinds of meatballs including a great veggie option and you get the choice of having them with pasta, a bun or salad.

  • Sage - A really delicious modern Thai restaurant on Graham Avenue, Brooklyn.

  • Milk - This little bakery sells the Insta famous cereal milk soft serve (ice cream). If you are into  trying novelty food then give this place a go!

  • Lella Alimentati - A cosy little Italian cafe selling coffee, Italian produce and delicious flatbreads filled with mozzarella and other incredible fillings.

  • Joe's Pizza - Delicious slices of pizza that are a great on the go snack.

  • Two Hands Cafe - An Australian run cafe serving up delicious coffee as well as the most incredible banana bread topped with espresso mascarpone.

  • One Girl Cookies - A nice cafe to pick up a coffee and a cake when visiting Dumbo in Brooklyn.

  • Black Star Bakery & Cafe - I had a really amazing breakfast of avocado & eggs on toast here. The only flaw being the plastic cutlery..

  • Iona Bar - A bar which reminded me of somewhere you could find in the UK with a really great patio garden.

  • Chelsea Market - An urban food court full of incredible cafes and restaurants to grab a coffee or a bit of lunch!
