Aerial Views over Jodhpur

For a while now I have been lusting over images of the blue city of Chefchaouen in Morocco, scattered throughout my Insta/Pinterest feeds with the hope that one day I will be able to make the voyage myself.
When I decided I wanted to visit Northern India a few years back, I had no idea that it too had its very own blue city until I stumbled upon it one day during my endless travel browsing..

It is believed that the bright blue walls traditionally signified the home of a Brahmin (members of the highest of the four castes of traditional Indian society), however, others have also suggested the blue walls were used to repel insects.

Additionally, towering high above the medieval streets is the incredible Mehrangarth fort, which is perfectly captured in this beautiful drone footage I discovered online a few weeks ago! There is no doubt that after watching this video, photo opportunists alike will be planning a trip to the blue city of Rajasthan as quick as possible! It was too good a find not to share!
